ANNUAL FIRST DIVISION OFFICERS DINNER
Another event supported by the Association is the Annual Officers of the First Infantry Division Dinner held at the Hilton Hotel Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia each year. The dinner is will be held on April 27 - 29, 2007.  The dinner is open to any officer who served in combat with the First Infantry Division during any period. All Guests must be approved by the Regiment.  There is also a wives dinner held during the same time for spouses since the dinner is open only to those who have served in combat with the division. In the year 2007 will mark the Eighty-Eight such dinner. I encourage all eligible officers to attend. I think you will find this dinner a tradition you won't want to miss. For more information or to answer questions regarding the dinner you should contact Skip Baker at 254-690-7099.

ItThe largest of our undertaking is the Arthur Tozar memorial Museum to be built in Fleville, France as the Centerpiece for an American-French Military Memorial Park.  We have also placed a 16th nfantry Regiment Plaque on the Veterans Memorial on top of Mt. Soledad, in San Diego California.

These projects have all been funded by special donations of our members since the Association does not have sufficnet funding available to cover the cost of their construction.  Individuals interested in making a contributions to either of these two important Regimental undertakings can make their tax deductible check out to,the 16

Each year at Christmas, the Association donates $1800 to the soldiers of the 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry who without our assistance would not have much to celebrate at this very special time of the year.Again, this is a tax-deductible donation, and a very special Christmas gift to the soldiers of our Battalion.  This year with the Battalion in Iraq we have an increased burden.
