My Father Daniel J Myers, Stewartsville NJ gave his life unto the 1st Inf Div on Jan 30 1967 so that his friends might live and was rewarded the Soldiers Medal posthumously. I am so very proud of him and the 1st Inf Div US Army. He lived and died with honor, representing the highest virtues instilled in our young Soldiers. I see the Veterans returning from overseas today and am also very proud that they are carrying on this noble legacy of honor and selfless sacrifice.
Thank You all so much for the sacrifices you have made for our great nation.

A Favorite quote of my former Captain Ed Gripkey. We of the 16th are brothers. I wish to welcome home each and everyone of you "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother. Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten." (W.Shakespeare)
